六甲ミーツ・アート 芸術散歩 2013 オルゴール庵
六甲山で毎年開催されているアートフェスティバルに合わせて製作した作品。
オルゴールミュージアム中庭に点在している巣箱のオルゴール(紐を引っ張ると音が出る)からヒントを得て、中庭の奥にかつてあったロッジ跡地の躯体を活かし、積層合板で四畳半茶室のような小屋を造った。茶室(小屋)内部の床の間には中庭と同じような構造のオルゴール(紐を引っ張ると音が出る)が仕込まれており、中庭にある巣箱のオルゴールを想起させるような作品とした。
鑑賞者が、茶室(小屋)の中に入り、窓から見える景色を眺めながら、茶や香を嗜むと同じようにオルゴールの音に耳を傾けて愉しめる場をつくった。
This work was created for the annual art festival held on Mount Rokko near Kobe.
Taking a hint from the music boxes in the birdhouses scattered in the courtyard of the Orgel Museum (which emit sound when the string is pulled), we made use of the remaining concrete platforms of the former lodge at the back of the courtyard to build a four and a half tatami mat teahouse out of laminated plywood. The plan was based on the well known Joan tea house by Oda Uraku. In the tokonoma alcove inside the tea room, there is a music box which emits the sound of an orgel when the string is pulled. It is also opened towards the forested mountain enhancing the relation with nature and the voices of insects.
