箱根彫刻の森美術館で子供にアートを身近に感じてもらうため、「遊び」の中に彫刻を結びつけて空間構成を行った。各場所はそれぞれ地形を模して構成している。海、池、城は子供達の「遊び」のエリア。隠れたり跳ねたり滑ったりして遊べるようになっている。岩、砂は「休み」のエリア。親子で彫刻を鑑賞しながら休むことができる。子供達が、あるいは親子がアートと良い出会いをできるような場づくりを意図した。
This project intends to familiarize children with sculpture while playing. For this purpose a set of games was displayed using nature or man-made elements as motives. Children are playing hide and seek, bouncing, sliding or resting within a landscape with pond, rock, sand and castle. At the same time they can freely experience the sculptures of famous artists.
